On the 5th of november, I went to the University of Washington. In one of the room, they were the historic evening with Eva Schloss, Anne Frank’s stepsister. Eva Schloss is a 90-year-old Jew and Holocaust survivor. The University of Washington's president, Ana Mari Cauce, asked her to tell us what does she lived and what happened in Auschwitz during the second World War. « I’m going to talk about my experience, tell people how terrible it was, how cruel people were, » Schloss said in a...

Yesterday was the 31st of october. It was the day of Halloween. Halloween is a very important event in the USA. The tradition originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. On the 26th of october, I went on a ferry to go to Vashon Island. Washington State is home to the largest ferry fleet in the US, and some of these run out of Seattle. While you can walk on to this ferry, it’s really better to bring the car or your bike along as Vashon is...

We have learn to know five spanish girls who come from Sevilles. They are in Seattle, in the Northwest School, thanks to a program similar to the Passepartout Program and they are here for almost as long as us. It's a very good experience to discover more and more cultures and not only American. In the same time, it's a good way to learn students who live the same experience as we do. The program in France and in Spain have the same goal : make us independent, be open-minded, gain...

On friday the 20th, we went on a strike in Seattle, The strike was amazing because so many people was protesting to save the earth. The Northwest School is supporting the students as they give paper to make posters, they give food... The posters said "There's no planet B", "Ecocide, = Genocide", "If you did your job, we would be in school". It was fun to see that they were teenagers, adults and also children. This strike can change students mind, and make them act. But the NWS already do things...
