In USA, Halloween is a important celebration. That's why, with my family we went to a big farm where we can find pumpkins. This farm is called Stocker. There are a lot of activities for everyone like a trampoline, cannon candy, but also target practice (with a ball)... The children were so excited and the adults too. Today, we went to the mountains to go hiking. It was an organized outing from school. We went to Talapus Lake to hike 6 miles (around 10 km). It took one hour to get there on the bus. For this trip, there were 20 people. We started hiking at 11 am. and finished at 3 pm. The weather was good but very cold. That's why everybody wore warm clothes and no cotton. This week was a very special week because from Tuesday 10/16 to Friday 10/18 we had a "Spirit Week". Every day we had a new clothing theme to follow. Tuesday was "twins", which meant that we had to dress the same way as another person. Wednesday the theme was pajama, so we went to school in pajamas. Thursday it was decades. At this time of the year, in the USA, we don't have vacations like in France. However, we did have a long weekend. It began Thursday the 10th to Monday the 14th. Today we have spent our first day at the Northwest school. This school is amazing! There are a lot of difference with our school. Here the value pupils /teachers are amical, we call the teacher by his name, who is not possible to do that in France. Moreover, at the Northwest it’s allowed to eat, drink, used our phone (limited) or computer in class. Furthermore, the timetable are differences.
