Today was the big day of our charity race. It was our first step in volunteer action. This morning we shared a quick reminder of the event at Community Meeting. With the help of a man named Nate who works in utility services, we were able to transport our equipment to Cal Anderson Park. The race loop measured approximately 400m. Many passerbyes were curious about what it could be. Around 3pm the first runners arrived. Some walked and some ran, remembering their pastry at the end (cookie / crepe). The surplus was sold the next day. Our course was finished around 4pm, in total, we raised nearly $200 for the Seattle Children’s Hospital. We were very happy to have succeeded in this challenge.
