At this time of the year, in the USA, we don't have vacations like in France. However, we did have a long weekend. It began Thursday the 10th to Monday the 14th. During this long weekend, with my host family, we went to Cannon Beach. It is in the state of Oregon. It was really a beautiful place. I saw the Pacific Ocean for the first time. The beach was very pretty! There was something which was really strange for me, which is that Cannon beach is an area of tsunami risk. It's the first time I have seen this sign. We went hiking and the landscape was magnificent. I discovered a special tradition which is making s'mores. S'mores are marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers. I like s'mores!
